A very spontaneous trip on New Years Day! There unfortunately wasn't any train rides running today but, as there was such a big party of us, the driver insisted! We all had a fantastic afternoon. All of the staff /volunteers were absolutely brilliant. Friendly and swift service at the bar for coffees and beers. Perfect for stocking up with snacks for a railway walk too! Not our usual activity but we thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Beautiful gardens showing off the last of the summer flowers in the middle of a heatwave, the lavender bush was busy with bees. Good food and service, very friendly staff on duty today.

We had scones, a lovely pint and the children had a decent portion of chips. The gentleman that served us was fantastic. We did not get his name, he was an older chap. Thoroughly recommend. Great location midst a 15 mile walk. Thank you!

We’re local to reepham, we wanted a nice family meal out turns out my freezer could have offered better. We arrived and the table was absolutely filthy I used baby wipes to clean it and when I asked for a anti bac spray for the highchair I was told it was already cleaned this morning even though it was absolutely filthy, also it wasn’t safe for a child at all it felt like it was going to collapse. When I got my drink it had lipstick stains all over it, the food arrived and it was something you’d find in your freezer the chips had hairs on and the chicken wasn’t nice either. Over all very very disappointed. Won’t be returning, hygiene wasn’t great especially for children. Honestly would want a full refund for this.

Attended the family New Year party, what a disappointment! Plus points, clean venue and toilets, friendly bar staff but absolutely no atmosphere. Music provided by a staff member from his phone so no organisation, played the same songs several times, no dance tunes or proper build up to the midnight countdown. We almost missed it, did not broadcast Big Ben, totally misread his audience, more than half the people left by 11pm and no one on the dance floor at midnight. Promised so much, delivered so little.
